orientation day 1
11:58 p.m. on 2006-01-03

I want to keep a record of my first impression of the og mates so I can compare at the end of the 4th day. Haha.

My brother really walked me to rjc, before I met eddy and we waited for others. Later we went to the hall and I met xingyan. (:

Stumbled my way to my og. After all the intros we got our badge, and cheered together for the first time. Had lunch at 10 -.- in the small canteen.

I saw green sweater! Nvm only me and zy know this.

Later on saw grace in the washroom, and really, I quote Gillian, never knew we were in such an intelligent class. Besides the original 10+ of us that came to rg in p6 and subsequently rj, about 7 of our ex-classmates are in rj. I think that’s quite remarkable.

Started icebreakers. Got a few names down, and yeah it was quite fun. Played some body parts game, and because of lack of cards I ended up doing cheek to cheek. With whom, I can’t even rmb now. The other pair that had to do the same took so freaking long to get it done we were all screaming.

By the time we were watching the second part of the storyline my eyes were on auto de-focus mode and I wasn’t reacting much. In other words, I wasn’t laughing. For starters I’m wincing at every 5th word or so of the performers because it came out horribly loud. And then I was also sick and floaty. Those two reasons are already enough to kill off any humour I might have found in the storyline. Not that it was bad; look at all the effort and effects.

Station games. The not-to-be-forgotten shaving cream game was funny. You stand with guys and girls alternating in about a row of ten, then you pass shaving cream off the first person’s cheek down the line, and see which of the 2 ogs gets more at the end. Erm well, I didn’t expect the cream to be like, minty/hot/whatever. I mean, I don’t shave my face.

Right. Halfway I wiped a little off onto my finger because I didn’t want to eat it. I looked at the guy next to me who was watching, took his hand, and proceeded to scrape the cream off my finger onto his hand. I have absolutely no idea why I did that, but hey, he had so much on his face it doesn’t make a difference right. X) okay, bs.

The balloon game was okay, except while I was patiently waiting in line one of the girls in front suddenly make me take her place. Because her partner got neck to neck, and he’s like, tall. I think he probably was bending while we were walking, because I seem to recall that my ear is about where his neck is. -__-

Yeah well, other games too. Learnt a bit of the mass dance when we went back to the hall. The day ended with my orientation pack getting lost, I think some guy probably took it by accident. (: well well.

Oh yes. On the way back I saw tbl, but we walked different routes. I walked fast, even had to run for the bus, so I assumed he wasn’t on the bus. And then when it was my stop I looked behind me and surprise!, he was there. I was surprised, but I managed to react in time. Phew. Time we stopped that stupid daoing game, now that he knows I’m from rgco -.-

Okay. So I get along with the girls. I mean, we can’t possibly not get along. But I do run out of things to say; I can’t possibly be commenting on the guys, and there’s still a lot about each other that we have to learn. Although I already have an impression of each person. I can match only about 5 guys to their names; otherwise I can rmb the names but can’t match it to the correct face. I have no idea who my buddy is, either. But again, I’ve formed impressions.

Nvm, I’ll learn tmr. (:
